Light breaks

                      through
the last
                vestiges
                                of the dark—
bursting
                  in a bouquet
of flaring
                 yellows,
                                 oranges,
                                                 browns—
under
              the blue ore,
                                    the black.
On the edge
                     of time:
seconds,
                 minutes,
                                 hours,
weeks,
              months,
                             years,
eons
             melt into
                              a cornucopia
of pigments
                      flaming
in the dawn
                      of morn.
