Like Troubadours
(inspired by the reading at The Henry Miller Library)We sang like troubadours
of long ago.
We sang from our souls
in utter delight,
while each of our spirits
was part of the others’.And the blaze of us flamed on
into the jet black night. One sang this way.
One sang another.
And each was best,
as a winged flame of spirit. No better or worse.
Just a flame in the fire.
Each adds to another.
All is the fire. And the world is changed.
