Central Park

“ I have heard the sound of summer
in the rain’’

A  blues beat
at Central Park
modulates my thoughts
as I walk
the path to
Strawberry Fields.

Far away
- filtered through the light summer rain -
a window of The Dakota
appears
a window that was closed
long ago
in a freezing-cold December evening.
