Central Park“ I have heard the sound of summer
in the rain’’
Lawrence FerlinghettiA blues beat
at Central Park
modulates my thoughts
as I walk
the path to
Strawberry Fields.Far away
- filtered through the light summer rain -
a window of The Dakota
appears
a window that was closed
long ago
in a freezing-cold December evening.

Perfect in its geometry
a white and black mosaic circle
holds
one word only:
Imagine
my fingers
softly
touch
that message of peace
still here
in spite of all.
